Norman Hynes grew up around dirt tracks all his life but didn't start racing until his early twenties.  From the beginning, it was clear that Hynes was a talented driver.  In the 2008 racing season, Hynes was the Hunterstown Speedway Track Champion in both the Box Stock Lite and Box Stock Medium divisions.  He was also named Driver of the Year in 2008.  He currently races in the PDKS series and the Hunterstown Speedway Burris Money Series.

I started racing when i was 18, I was the 2004 Littles kart shop Rookie of the Year & Finshed 3rd in points @Hunterstown Speedway.  I was the last person to ever set fast time at the Big One @Silver Spring Speedway in 2005(Sr Champ Heavy).  I placed 2nd in points in Sr Champ and Yamaha Champ points in 2005 @Hunterstown Speedway.  I won the 2008 Sr Champ Animal Championship @Hunterstown Speedway & and was the Best Sportsmanship award winner. I have never finshed outside the top 5 in points in any division i have ever ran for the whole season or series.
