Norman Hynes grew up around dirt tracks all his life but didn't start racing until his early twenties.  From the beginning, it was clear that Hynes was a talented driver.  In the 2008 racing season, Hynes was the Hunterstown Speedway Track Champion in both the Box Stock Lite and Box Stock Medium divisions.  He was also named Driver of the Year in 2008.  He currently races in the PDKS series and the Hunterstown Speedway Burris Money Series.
